I thought I would kick off the term with a writing competition. This competition is to do with blogging. One of the hardest things to do when writing a blog post is to make it interesting for your readers and not just post something for the sake of it. One blog has made boring into an art form. The dullest blog in the world demonstrates that a series of profoundly boring posts can be made entertaining if done well. Have a look at the site and post me something that would not be out of place there. I’ll give you until July 23 to enter.

I was at my cousin’s house last Friday. I remember it was Friday, as that was the day of the 21 degree heat and the percentage of humidity was 80%. I remember it clearly as that is the algorithm to an exciting piece of code work I am working on. But of course, my story is about my cousin’s house. My cousins mother, who of course is my Aunt (that is because of the term given to my father’s sister, in relationship to me is called “Aunt”), made us pop tots. The pop tots were potato based balls of The pop tots were baked at 180 degrees Celsius, or centigrade. (If it were fahrenheit it would not have cooked!) I took one mouthful of the tot and it burnt my mouth. It hurt. I cried.

I read that blog. It’s a nice blog. It has nice writing. It’s nice.
My left butt cheek was itchy. I slid my left hand down the back of my pants, scratching the aforementioned cheek; thereby relieving the itch.
It rained today! I like rain, its all wet and rainy. Do you like rain? Yesterday it didn’t rain, it wasn’t all wet and rainy. I didn’t like yesterday..Did you like yesterday?
It was rather hot today. I pulled down my zipper and relieved myself of my jersey. I then became somewhat cold.
I have just read the blog entry which you will find if you scroll up this page about 30cm. I was excited to read that I can finally put my talent for stupefyingly dull writing to good use. All these years thinking I would be of use only to insomniacs and suddenly my chance has arrived. However, I then read (in the last sentence of the post) that the submision date has passed. However, I submit this, a pointless and hopefully dull comment for consideration.
