Study Guides for Frankenstein

frankie

It is that time of year again – exams! If you want to have a look at a few revision sites on Frankenstein try these:

Shmoop – This site is well worth a look. Accessible, interesting notes. Clear analysis of characters, symbols and themes. Picks out some useful quotes and what they mean. Looks at why the book has endured. Even discusses what’s up with the ending.

Gradesaver – This site analyses the chapters. Might be very useful if you haven’t actually read the book …

SparkNotes – Covers the expected stuff. Easy to read.

Frankenstein Study Guide – Quite condensed but interesting.

If you would like a PDF of the drawing you can download one here: blog.theteamw.com/downloads/.

This is a very helpful video to help you prepare for your oral presentations next term.

Debating Dunstan

This week our senior team had a debate against the senior Dunstan High School team. The debate was an evening one and it was at the Centennial Court in Alexandra. The Rotary Club provided a lovely meal and a great audience.

Our senior team was depleted because of the Waimate Exchange. We had one senior debater and two Year 10 speakers. It was a fabulous and hard fought debate and we were pleased to come out as the winners. Well done boys!
